Carrie Underwood continued to get lucky for this year's CMT Music Awards. The superstar performer claimed her eighteenth - yes, eighteen - CMT Music award, this time for Female Video of the Year - "The Champion" featuring Ludacris. Although Underwood didn't pick up any awards in her other nominated categories, she is still by and large the artist with the most wins in the show's history.

In addition to giving an acceptance speech that thanked her fans for voting, thanking God, and thanking Ludacris for being a part of the project, Underwood delivered an astonishing live peformance of her current hit single, "Cry Pretty", which sits at #13 on the country charts this week. Emerging from behind a wall of crystal beads, Underwood worked her way onto the stage slowly as the song built into a fiery crescendo that caused the crowd to errupt into cheers and give Underwood a standing ovation by the end of her last note. The American Idol powerhouse, who was introduced as one of the "strongest" and "most bad-ass" women in country before her performance, has consistently delivered incredible live performances of her new hit song, which is just the first taste from her upcoming sixth album.

Fans will get another performance of "Cry Pretty" from Carrie when she takes the stage at Nissan Stadium tomorrow night for CMA Music Fest. Check out photos from last night's CMT Awards here:
